I didn't realize it was so important to you. I must take extra care while crafting it so it's worthy.

[ It honestly won't be as bad as Joric assumes it will be. He's not starting completely from scratch as he's whittled before, but that was more for the distraction from his life than because he wanted to make anything good. Hence why he assumes it'll be terrible. ]

[Is it important? Not really. But it is something to tease him about, and a sign he's not going to escape that easily.]

Probably. But maybe I'll gain information by carving an impression figurine for someone. You never know.

It's true, I don't. Getting someone coffee has gotten me information in the past.

I'll have to keep that one in mind. People seem to like coffee. I don't know why, but they do.

What, you're not a fan?

Not really. It's too bitter on its own and having to add other things to it doesn't make it a very convenient drink to grab. But it seems popular from what I've seen.

The caffeine does that. [Very dryly, realizing her own vices here.] You're better off not getting to rely on it. It's practically a superpower.

I am already an early riser. I don't need anything like that.

[ But hey, even if he can't understand why others like it, if it works for them, great. ]

[Lightly. Natasha doesn't actually struggle to be up early, as much as she enjoys her coffee.

It's habit from long years of being up at dawn in the army. I doubt anyone envies me that.

[ At least he got used to it quick, but it took years before he let go of his stubbornness and went to bed early instead of staying up late. ]

And they probably don't need coffee either.

If we ever go anywhere with mead, we can share a bottle.
