aiden pearce told me how to find you
he said that you're good at being patient.

[ Fingers crossed that between the namedrop, the situation hell is in now, and the fact that Tim is coming to her, he has to hope that she can assume which tyrant they're being patient about. ]

and what kind of motivation would you need to act?
success_story: (no one's ever happy or sad for very long)

that's what i think, too
i guess what im trying to ask if you'd be willing to sound off when you think the right opportunity comes up

i have a handful of folks that im barely convincing to wait
i could use someone patient to help me out
success_story: (i'm just shaping the sound)

[personal profile] success_story 2021-03-26 08:11 pm (UTC)(link)
where works for you?
success_story: (but they still sound the same)

[personal profile] success_story 2021-03-29 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
religiously

you arent seriously suggesting the shop?
success_story: (keeping me dry)

[personal profile] success_story 2021-03-30 06:21 pm (UTC)(link)
that sounds way more reasonable
i'm ready when you are
i'll be the guy with the army jacket and glasses

[ And whenever they're both ready, Natasha will find him waiting at the table nearest the door to Helluva Cup, looking every bit as twitchy and serious as he comes off. ]
success_story: (the only thing)

[ Even if it's affected, her calmness puts him at ease. Tim gestures out the door with his coffee cup. ] Lead the way.
success_story: (tell me im running on empty)

In so many words. Like you said, I don't like shooting off too early. Unfortunately, I can't be everywhere, especially here--and I'm surrounded by people ready to jump. [ He tilts his cup to her. ] I need another pair of eyes, and I'd prefer to have them on someone who can hold the line.

Aiden Pearce mentioned you.

In so many words. [ His eyes drift to the path in front of them, practiced patter slowing down so that he can proceed carefully. How can he be frank without looking inexperienced? How can he emphasize the importance here without being pushy? ] Recruiting makes it sound like I have something to offer you. I'm here because I need help, which--I understand is not exactly enticing. So I guess the first question is: how open are you to collaborating? Followed pretty quickly by: what do you need?

[ He laughs, thin. Compelling reason is a nice way to put it. Frankly: ] I mean, I'd love to have someone else firing the starting pistol. I can't be ready to move and also watching the time at once. I especially can't do it when I'm trying to hold other people back.

I need someone with precision to tell us when to move.
success_story: (punch through the window)

good with tying this up here and saying that it bleed into the psychic network post?

[personal profile] success_story 2021-04-07 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
[ His expression is blessedly cool; he can at least act the part. But Natasha is too experienced to miss the way his eyes light up: relief, excitement, calculating. ] Well, I can tell you what I've got so far.
